Rate My Sites
If you spend any amount of time online, you’ve no doubt visited one of the many “rate my sites” on the Internet today. What started as a meeting site for young adults and teens has quickly expanded to include a place where people of all ages and backgrounds can get together.
The initial rate my sites basically allowed individuals to upload a picture or “rate my face” photo that other members could vote on. Based on a rating scale of 1 to 10, photos are reviewed and receive an average running total each time a new rating is placed. The sites would include how many votes each pic had received and also include a list of the top favorites. Usually the top ten on each site were listed, often with a separate category for men and women. Today the categories have expanded to allow members to upload sexy or more revealing images. In addition to rate my face photos, users can now vote on the best breasts, legs, or body pictures.
One of the reasons for the great interest in rate my sites is that they allow people to receive feedback anonymously. Once you upload your photo, people from around the world can view your picture and provide feedback. There is no need to include your actual name or location. All you need to provide is your picture and choose a username.
Ever since the first rate my sites started appearing on the Web, they have received a great deal more photos from women than men. This is not to say that men don’t visit the sites. Rate my sites are very popular among both males and females. However, it seems that women are much more likely to provide their photos while men are more interested in viewing or rating the images provided.
